As a psychotherapist, I work to help you explore your internal experiences. You may feel confused, uncertain, lonely, and/or overwhelmed. Whether you are undergoing medical crises or watching loved ones confronting medical problems, my work is personalized based on your needs.
I believe that psychotherapy can be an empowering process. The treatment of trauma, grief and loss and the depression and anxiety that is the result from them. Through associations, I will work with you to make connections that assist you in handling the impacts of your experiences.
My approach in the clinical relationship reflects my training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and is informed by the theories of post-Freudian British Object Relations and self psychology. Among other things, these theorists understood the therapeutic relationship to be a “shared emotional experience,” impacting both the patient and the therapist.
